How to apply for passport

1. You have to get the application form from either of the following:
a. Passport office.
b. Designated speed post centre
c. Download form from http//www.passport.nic.in

2.    The application form should be submitted to the passport office either
a. In person
b. Through agent
c. Through speed post

3.    Submit the ID proof & Residence proof
Note: If you have not been staying at the current residence for more than 1 year then you also have to fill ‘Personal Particulars Form’ for each residence with a photograph and two self-attested copies of supporting documents.

4.    If your name is changed due to marriage, you need to submit 2 self-attested copies of husband passport.

5.    You also need to submit 2 self-attested copies as a proof that you are a citizen of India by registration or naturalization.

6.    All documents will be checked against the originals. If sending through speed post the document should be attested by a gazetted officer.

Insurance Term Plan

Term plan is a plan in which the insurance company promises the assured (customer) for a cover in case of unfortunate death of the assured. The insurance company takes a premium for giving the cover. The premium is same for the whole term selected by the customer. The term of insurance can be for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 or 40 yrs. The premium depends on many factors, some of them are:

  • Age of the client: The premium increases as the age of the client increases. Every company has mortality table for the same which defines the premium that is to be paid by the customer for taking the cover.
  • Gender: The premium also depends on the gender. Usually the premium for male is higher then female.
  • Smoker: The premium for smoker is more than non-smokers.
  • Medical History: Premium also depends on medical history. The premium is increased if the customers medical history is not fine. (Medical History is the family health conditions)
  • Cover Taken: If the cover is higher than the Insurance company may take a lower rate.
